Born out of Southern Italy, Giacobbe Stolfe was only 13 years old when he arrived on the South Side of Chicago. Stolfe was full of grit, determination and Italian tradition – all of which he passed on to his son, Jimmy Stolfe.
In the early 60’s, Jimmy opened a Connie’s Pizzeria on 26th & Lowe where pizza became a family trade. His son Michael Stolfe spent hours in the kitchen, fine-tuning the perfect “take & bake” pizza. Michael’s perfected pizza combined the quality of a restaurant pizza with the ease of being made at home.
The final product, Giacobbino’s™ Pizza, pays homage to the man that ignited 55 years of pizzeria traditions which have been passed on from generation to generation and will someday be passed onto Michael’s son, Giacobbino.
