On February 25th, the halls of The Union League Club of Chicago brimmed with activity as the best in the food industry came together to support the 12th Annual For the Love of Chocolate Foundation Gala. Every year, For the Love of Chocolate aims to surpass the surprises of the gala before it and this year’s event did exactly that. With agent provocateurs and femme fatales, world renowned DJs & musicians, spectacular dance troupes, playful interactive decor, a touch of campy theatre and of course, a mouth-watering variety of food to feast upon, the over 1100 guests indulged in a sultry atmosphere of Film Noir. Thanks to our generous sponsors and guests, this evening of mystery and mayhem raised over $160,000 for the scholarship foundation. For the Love of Chocolate Foundation awards scholarships to students in full-time programs at non-profit colleges, promoting commitment in pastry arts education for individuals looking to change careers, as well as individuals who have shown potential in the culinary field but have no formal pastry education.
